Sea Monsters Exhibit!

Monster Makeover panel where visitors can see themselves with different monster attributes. Fold-down Sea Puzzle with large tiles that visitors move to make up a picture of extreme animals. Jaws panel featuring a mako shark jaw and tooth-diet matching activity. Central gallery with shark skin that can be touched, model of a colossal squid beak, small diorama of bioluminescent animals, and scale- sized eyeball models for giant squid, blue whale and cow. Inflated giant squid sits on top!

Valentine Craft Bazaar

This Valentine's bazaar will be held at the Raccoon Creek Pavilion, Bldg. 2017. Setup time will begin at 8 am and open to the public at 10 am. Shop for yourself, a friend, or buy your Valentine a gift!

There will be many beautiful crafts and homemade items for sale including candles, afghans, knick-knacks, jewelry, candy, home-baked goods and many more items!

Crafts interested in having a table to sell items should register and pay at the Outdoor Rec office NO LATER THAN noon on Sunday, 5 February. (Need 10 people, can take 20)

State Fair Trip (sign up by 3 Feb)

The Youth Center will be taking the youth to the State Fair. Students will depart the youth center at 12 pm and return at 6 pm. Youth planning to attend will need the following: Must sign up by 3 Feb.

Free admission ticket given to them at school, $30 fee to ride all-day pass and transportation, $15 for food at fair, and a signed permission slip by 3 Feb.

Cost: $35 per person. Meet at the Marina Activity Room at 9am; depart at 9:30am sharp. Join us for the most intense 2 hour experience of paintball in the Tampa area! Unlimited air for the rental gun, 500 paint balls, and all equipment included (Face mask, pod pack, gun with unlimited air, tank, and hopper.) Tire Rotation & Maintenance Course

Now that the weather is cooler, you may need to make adjustments to your tires. Learn how to properly check your tires and perform your own rotation to ensure even wear so your tires last longer.

This class will be offered twice for your convenience: Saturday, 11 February, 9 am and Saturday, 25 February, 9 am (instruction provided in Spanish). Cost: FREE!

Deep Sea Fishing (Sign up by 8 Feb)

5:30 am-6 pm • Cost: $85 pp

Join fellow fishermen for a day of fishing on the “Miss Virginia” based in Port Richey. The boat has an enclosed cabin with seats and tables. Breakfast and lunch are available at a reasonable cost, as well as beer, soda, and snacks. Fishing rods, license, tackle, and bait for each fisherman are available although guests are welcomed to bring their own. Guests preferring live bait may purchase it the morning before departure. Small coolers are allowed (no larger than 48 quarts) NO GLASS CONTAINERS PLEASE.

Valentines Voyage
