DEERS Status

MPF – Mission Essential
The MPF has moved to minimum manning and telework in correlation with the 6 ARW response to COVID-19. All customers should check the MacDill Public website for the most current Corona Virus information: https://www.macdill.af.mil/Home/Coronavirus-COVID-19/

On Site Services:
ID Card Support (min manning) – Appointment Only and Mission Essential Walk-ins: 0730-1530
What is considered Mission Essential:
- ID Cards/CACs initial issue and expiring within 7 days
- CAC Pin Resets
- Adding new Dependents into DEERS
- Mission Essential on Case by Case Basis in coordination with Capt Rayome (allison.rayome.1@us.af.mil) and SMSgt Lennon (tomekia.lennon@us.af.mil)

Customer Expectations:
We are requesting all customers direct utilize email for questions and services.

NOTE:
Currently, the Department of Defense (DoD) is experiencing a shortage in Dependent, Disabled American veterans’ (DAV), Transitional Assistance Management Program (TAMP), ID card stock (DD Form 1173).

The MacDill MPF is out of stock and will be unable to issue dependent and disabled American Veteran and Transitional Assistance Management Program ID cards until stock is replenished. In the interim, if you have a dependent, or TAMP ID card, that is expired or expires between the current date and April, you may be issued a printed DD Form 1172-2, Application for Identification Card/DEERS Enrollment, as proof of a person’s DEERS enrollment and eligibility to medical benefits and shopping privileges.

Regarding disabled American veteran’s card, the DD Form 1172-2 may only be used for shopping. Currently, an April delivery date is forecasted.

DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR

LOST, STOLEN OR

CONFISCATED CAC CARDS:

The following is to clarify the process for replacing lost, stolen, or confiscated CACs. The below guidance outlines the acceptable documentation needed to validate the need for a replacement card.

Acceptable documents include:
  • A police report
  • A report from an installation security office
  • A statement/document(s) as provided by the Service/agency (e.g., counseling document)
  • A letter or memo from the member's security manager, Commander, First Sergeant, or the sponsoring TASS Trusted Agent. The letter or memo must be prepared on the activity's letterhead, dated, and signed with a wet signature or digitally signed using a CAC.

Please Note: The DD Form 1172-2 is not authorized to be used as an alternative to document the loss of CAC and need for re-issuance.

      RENEWAL OF CAC CARDS:

      • Civilian CAC - Update 30 days prior to expiration date. Two valid forms of identification.
      • Contractor’s CAC - Update information in the CVS with new expiration date. Two valid forms of identification (see below)

      NOTE: ONE OF THE FORMS MUST BE A PHOTO ID. PHOTO ID MUST BE A STATE/FEDERAL UNEXPIRED PHOTO ID.
